STEM & Technology

WISH is thrilled to have the Next Generation Science Standards infused into every developmental level of our learning experience!  In the Elementary school, we begin with PLTW Launch.  Students enjoy the inquiry-based learning modules and become perseverant problem solvers.

Middle school students have STEM as one of their core classes!  All students take it every year, incorporating the PLTW Gateway Units. From medical detectives to design and modeling, students establish a strong foundation in the design and engineering process.

WISH Academy students have the opportunity to pursue one of four pathways at the high school level.  Two of the pathways, Engineering and Biomedical Sciences are grounded in the PLTW curriculum, helping to develop a foundation for future careers and higher education, using real-world problems and ideas. Some of these courses are so rigorous that dual credit for high school and college is provided.

All TK-8th-grade students receive high-quality technology instruction using a co-teaching model with PlanetBravo. The co-teaching model ensures that our general education teachers can provide the most cutting-edge, innovative technology for our young people. At WISH we believe all students need to understand cloud-computing, coding, game design, web development, how to create a podcast, and so much more!
