All WISH families from TK through High School are invited to come to get connected with other families, hear about some of the amazing events and committees on all three campuses, and hear from our school Principals about student achievement and goals for this year! All of this will take place on Thursday, September 20th at our first WISH Community Association Meeting and Community Education Night on the Elementary School campus!
While parents are enjoying connecting with one another and soaking in a lot of valuable information, child care, at no charge, will be provided for ES students and potty trained siblings aged 3 and up. Please email Sara to sign up for childcare from 5:30-7:30 pm. MS and HS students will have an ice cream social event.
Please RSVP to Michelle and Tenisha, so we can get a headcount.
At 5:30 pm in the Elementary School Library, those who are interested in volunteering at one of the three schools this year will have the opportunity to attend the last volunteer orientation scheduled for this school year. Any adult who is interested in volunteering with our students and scholars must participate in this brief orientation before being permitted into classrooms or on field trips. All volunteers must also be up to date with a TB test, so please bring in a copy of your negative TB result within the last 4 years.
From 6:00pm-6:30 pm in the Library at the WISH Elementary Campus (6550 W 80th St: Main Entrance on 80th Street) our WISH Community Association (WCA) Parent Leadership Team will introduce this year's committees and committee heads as well as other WCA updates. Every WISH parent and guardian is a member of our WCA, so we hope that all parents will join us for these important start of the year updates.
From 6:30pm-7:30 pm we will roll right into our first Community Education Night of the year. Principal Jessica Leonard (TK - 5), Principal Chelsie Murphy (6 - 8), and Principal Kellie Mowll (9 - 10) will be presenting STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT, SCHOOL-WIDE GOALS, and DIGITAL PLATFORMS for the upcoming year.
While parents are meeting with WISH Community Association (WCA) and participating in the Community Education Night with the principals, WISH middle school and WISH high school students are encouraged to connect and socialize during an Ice Cream Social/Dance Party from 6:00pm-7:30 pm at the Elementary Campus. 8th-grade WEB Leaders will be leading the MS Ice Cream Social in room KA and 10th grade Link Leaders will be leading the HS Ice Cream Social in KB.
