At our final WCA meeting of the school year, Melissa Remer and Patti Scott, our WCA co-presidents, will lead the first 30 minutes of the meeting to give updates and information, followed by our incredible guest speaker, Dr. Carey Hawkins Ash.  

Dr. Carey Hawkins Ash has been integral to the WISH Faculty and Staff professional development throughout the 23-24 school year. He has worked with the entire TK-12 and with small teams, helping us reflect on our positionality, intersectionality, and experiences and become the best partners in serving our young people and families with a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity. Dr. Carey has led us through understanding our biases, having courageous conversations, and supporting our commitment to continue growing in our practice to serve all families and one another. He is phenomenal, and we are so fortunate to have him join our fourth community education evening of the school year to provide guidance as we partner with parents and educators to ensure our shared values of respect, empathy, and care for all are instilled in our young people as they navigate the school community.
