The WISH Music program aims to develop an appreciation and an awareness of how to make all kinds of music. We set out to establish an appreciation for various musical styles and compositions and we work to focus on the role of music in history and in different cultures.

All students engage in ear-training, music literacy, and general musicianship. Through songs and games, students study pitch, timbre, dynamics, form, and meter. At the Elementary School, students learn to play the recorder, the ukelele, and drums with a focus on reading music. Our middle and high school students can participate in choir, digital composition, strings band or WISH band. The talented WISH students perform several times a year in school-wide assemblies, as well as competitions.
