School Communications

Throughout the school year, we provide a number of ways for our families to stay informed of the fun happening across all of our schools. Here is an overview of each:

  • WISH Wise Weekly. Each Sunday afternoon or early evening, this newsletter is sent via email to the entire school community, and includes everything you need to know for the next several weeks. On Mondays, campus-specific newsletters are also sent out, with more directed info about what's going on at the elementary school, middle school, and Academy, respectively. If you are not currently receiving these emails and would like to, please contact the office manager at your campus.

  • Bloomz. Classroom communication at the elementary school is distributed via Bloomz, a website and app that allows teachers to update parents on what their students are learning in the classroom, notify them of upcoming events, share photos, and send messages. Class Bloomz pages are only accessible to those families whose children are in that particular class. Your classroom teacher will invite you to join the page.

  • sportsYou. Our WISH athletes and their families stay in-the-know about practices, games and standings via the online platform and app, sportsYou.

  • WISH Community Association (WCA). The WCA is our whole WISH community, comprised of parents, caregivers, teachers, faculty, staff, students, and community members, who work together to provide the best programs and educational experiences for the young people we serve. The WCA meets every other month, hosts multiple events, organizes committees, and leads community education evenings. We are fortunate to have Raj Makwana, parent to a WISH Academy 11th grader, and Patti Scott, parent to a WISH Middle 7th grader and WISH Academy 10th grader, as WCA co-presidents. If you have any questions about how to get more involved with our amazing school, please reach out to Raj [email protected] and Patti [email protected]

  • WISH Families Facebook and Grade Level Facebook Pages. Our Facebook pages (the public WISH Charter Page and private WISH Charter Families Page) are used to share community-wide and grade-level information. You are welcome to join the community-wide and grade level pages affiliated with your child-- all stakeholder groups are welcome on all WISH-affiliated Facebook pages, including parents, guardians, teachers, administrators, and staff members. These pages are meant for communication and celebration, adhering to the values and shared agreements we have committed to as a community. We kindly ask that members of our community be kind and respectful to others in social media posts, and to have private conversations when an issue arises, rather than share grievances in a public form. If you have a question or a concern, please contact the office manager at your child's school, your child's teacher or, if appropriate, the principal.
